Construction Gross All-Purpose Wage

The Gross All-Purpose Wage Rates in this appendix for each classification are comprised of the following components:

  • Minimum weekly rate of pay
  • Industry allowance
  • Tool allowance
  • A-Class license allowance
  • Construction allowance

The wage rate and allowance increases below are payable from the first pay period on or after the date specified. These rates of pay apply only to employees engaged in on-site work on a Building and Construction Project.

Hourly Rate $45.66
Additional Allowances:  
- Travel time allowance per day $7.48
- Fares allowance $25.89
- Austel (Open) all-purpose $30.75
- Severance per week $95
- Construction wiring $21.88

Building Industry Site Allowance - New Projects Victoria

(a) New projects between $3m and $224m - $4.00 per hour worked

Over $224 million - as per table at left

(b) Renovations, restoration and/or refurbishment work - $3.45 per hour worked

For projects above $447.9m, there shall be an increment in site allowance of 10 cents per additional $100m or part thereof.
