Hands off WorkSafe $ Mr Baillieu

Hands off WorkSafe $ Mr Baillieu

The WorkSafe surplus is under threat from the Victorian Government. Premier Ted Baillieu wants to rip out $471.5 million over four years from the WorkCover Authority, known as WorkSafe, so he can balance the State Budget. This money should be used to keep workplaces safe and compensate injured workers.

Support the campaign to keep workers' benefits safe from the politicians.

Sign the petition to let the Victorian Government know that it's not ok to raid WorkSafe's surplus.

Most important - know your WorkCover rights.

There are more than 2.5 million people working in Victoria, and about eight workers in every thousand will be injured at work this year to a level requiring at least a week off work, medical attention and compensation. That’s at least 20,000 Victorian workers each year.  These injured people are entitled to fair compensation.
